call one of your kids over to your LOCKED (this is important) bedroom door (preferably a child with really cute chubby fingers that can barely fit under the door)(children with lisps make this even sweeter. or kids that are just learning to talk. thats pretty good too.)
lay down and talk to them a bit and soak in how CUTE they are laying on the ground talking to you.
this next part is where it gets fun--slide them a piece of candy under the door with out telling them and watch their little hands grab that said piece of candy so fast you'll barely be able to see it. they'll "fane chou" for it.
you should be seeing a lot of those cute fleshy digits by now and it should look similar to this:
give them a few more pieces of candy and watch the fun begin. but this time, place the candy just out of reach and see them really work for it. you'll thank me for this later.fun:

put four pieces of candy just out of reach of each of your four children's little hands. their commentary of this event makes it all worth it. (although i have to admit it was way more fun for me to see and hear it, than it was for them to try to get the candy. but i'm not sure though. this is candy afterall.)
watch out when you finally unlock that door.
some might be happy, others sad, and some may be even a little mad (because we fed them all the sour peachy dots and they weren't ready for the candy train to end.)
be prepared for a candy raid on your room if you do dare to unlock your door. children don't take this news lightly when you say the candy is all gone.or i might just try it again when i'm bored. either way, i think everyone should try it. it really is the funniest thing.
think of it as a win-win situation too. you get a great laugh and get to see the cutest little hands you've ever seen poking from under your door (little hands are always cute, especially when coming from under your door), and your kids get candy.
did i mention cute hands? that are chubby? aaaaaand hands that are usually accompanied by the cutest little voices to match those cute hands?
oh! and if you peek under the door you just might see the cutest chubby cheeks flattened against the carpet with a little glimmer of a smile?
again......win-win. you: beholding of severe cuteness. kids: candy, smiles, laughter.
(try it now before they grow up. which happens ENTIRELY way too fast. because it might not be so cute seeing a teenager do this.)
